NCK-days, my first conference as a PhD

Together with several colleagues from the department, we went to the NCK Days at Schoorl near the Hondsbossche and Pettemer Sea Defence. The NCK days are a very friendly start-up in the world of scientific conferences: close to home, a lot of familiar faces, short presentations, a small excursion, one standard programme and only 2 days. We prepared a poster presentation for the conference about our project: 'Turning the Tide: dynamics of channels and shoals is estuaries with sand and mud'. On this poster, the focus, aims and methods of our three PhD studies are explained and the connection with utilisation companies.
