Field excursion Dovey (Dyfi) estuary

Our Vici-research-group visited Willem Toonen (PhD from Utrecht University) at Aberystwyth University, where he is currently working. With his connections, we set up some collaborations between our universities for estuarine research. Aberystwyth University has a lot of unpublished data in storage about the Dovey (Dyfi) estuary, which would be very interesting for us. The collaboration includes finding someone who will work on (and publish) their unpublished data. Those results, and a lot of spatial data (aerial photographs and LiDAR), will be exchanged with our team so we can use them. The Dovey estuary will probably become a key subject in our modelling studies. To start off the trip, we started with a field excursion to the estuary, of which you can see some pictures below.
