Opening of the Metronome!

Official opening of The Metronome tidal laboratory facility during the Christiaan Brunings lecture. This will become a yearly event at Utrecht University, with every year a speaker from a foreign university and a Dutch speaker from outside the university. This year's speakers are Jim Best (University of Illinois) and Jelmer Clevinga (Arcadis).
The Christiaan Brunings Lecture aims to bring together the scientists, practitioners and managers of rivers and estuaries. The networking drinks were served at the Metronome, which showcased one of our first succesfull estuary experiments with sand and water.
