Status paper: online discussion paper (ESurfD)

My first paper as first author is now available online as a discussion paper in Earth Surface Dynamics. This means that the first part of my PhD research is now under review. What makes this journal special is that it is already citable, and the whole review process is very open. Additionally, not only can reviewers (or referees) comment on my article, but also other people in the scientific community. The interactive public discussion will be open until the 20th of May. Finally submitting my paper felt like a big step forward. Not only will this become my first paper, it will also be the first part of my thesis. This is the first step towards completing my PhD.
